In Cologne, Germany, Frederich Muelhens was given the recipe as a wedding present by a local monk as a wedding present and started producing it at his design house.
Using exactly the same ingredients the cologne is still bottled today. Those ingredients are attar of roses from Bulgaria, sandalwood oil from India and from Haiti, vetiver oil.
