Home haircuts
Dear Daniel, My question is…
I want to purchase a home haircutting kit for myself. Currently when I go to the barbershop I ask for a Number 2 (razor type) which gives me a pretty short haircut.
When looking for razors to buy at Sears, Target, etc, they only specify 1/8, 1/4, etc, and I am not sure if any of these would equal a Number 2.
Can you clarify for me what type of attachment I need to get a Number 2? How long is it - ie, 1/8, 1/4, etc?
Daniel Rouah Answers
Each attachment measure increases approximately 2mm as you increase the number, ie a number 3 is 2mm longer than a number 2 and so on.
