Cutis Verticis Gyrata
Dear Daniel, My question is…
Lumpy head? After being shaved my head reveals a lumpy swirly pattern. I first noticed this at about 16 or 17 years old. I am now 23.
I did not have this pattern of lumpy swirls when I was younger. Do you know what this is or the cause?
I cannot find any information on the internet. I looked at pictures, maybe about 100 shaved heads and have not seen any that resemble mine...
I have seen one other in my life time and he had no idea why his was this way either! I would be grateful for any information or help at all. Thank you
When you mention that your head reveals a lumpy swirly pattern it's hard to imagine, the best advice I can offer is to see your doctor.
Thank you Daniel
I did get a bit of information about it, it is called cutis verticis gyrata. It is very rare and that is why it was so hard to find out info about it.
Thank you again for your time and effort.
I know what it is now. Take a look at DermAtlas and I suggest that you get your doctor to send you to see a dermatologist at The London Clinic, Harley Street.
