Grooming by numbers
I decided to do some research on beard grooming. I have a beard and moustache which I try to keep trimmed but never seem to get it to look very good.
I have an electric trimmer with eight different levels and the length that I would like my beard to be is level seven but on the sides I don't want it really bushy.
So, the length I'd prefer there is around three or four.
Trimming a beard isn't done by numbers, if you use a pair of scissors and a comb you can really keep it in shape. First, go to a barber shop to have the beard trimmed the way you like it and every three days tidy it, if you leave it too long you will lose the shape.
Make sure that the scissors are sharp and brush the beard first, if you have any doubts about your ability return to the barber shop.
Certainly with an electric razor it's very difficult, especially doing it yourself!
So... leave it to the professionals!
