Thick hair treatment at home
I have very thick, slightly curly, mid-length hair and currently I use a regular shampoo and conditioner and V05 styling wax to give it some hold.
As it's growing longer I would like to use less wax as it makes it look a little greasy, but my hair is in such bad condition that if i don't use wax on it it is incredibly dry, a real mess and looks terrible.
So... I was wondering if you could advise me on a good shampoo and conditioner to use, and a styling product that will provide hold and shine but without looking greasy on longer hair.
Also, please do not advise very expensive products, as I am a student!!
Thank you.
If your hair is in bad condition and you are growing it why don't you pop in to a salon and have it trimmed?
You can also do a hair treatment yourself as follows:
Wash your hair and rinse it.
Apply a conditioner on your hair and comb it through.
Take a towel and apply hot water on it rinse.
Take the towel and wrap round your hair leaving it on for a few minutes.
Repeat the process a few times.
The steam from the towel will push part of the conditioner into your hair and recondition your hair a little. This can be done once a month.
I suggest you use a herbal conditioner. Any wax or gel will make your hair greasy so use very little.
